Kinetic modelling of rarefied gas flows with radiation

Two kinetic models are proposed for high-temperature rarefied (or non-equilibrium) gas flows with radiation. One of the uses Boltzmann collision operator to model translational motion molecules, which has ability capture influence intermolecular potentials, while other adopts relaxation time approximations, higher computational efficiency. In modelling, not only transport coefficients such as shear/bulk viscosity and thermal conductivity but also their fundamental processes recovered. Also, non-equilibrium dynamics flow radiation coupled in a self-consistent manner. The two first validated by direct simulation Monte Carlo method several non-radiative flows, including normal shock wave, Fourier flow, Couette creep driven Maxwell demon. Then, strong investigated, above one-dimensional two-dimensional radiative hypersonic passing cylinder. addition Knudsen number photon relative strength is scrutinised. It found that can make profound contribution total heat transfer on obstacle surface.
